PlyMouth International - BRIT, MOBO and Ivor Novello award winner Tinie Tempah and pop heavyweight Jess Glynne have been confirmed to appear on the first night of MTV Crashes Plymouth.
Tinie Tempah, who had a number one with his debut album Disc-Overy and has won BRIT Awards for Best British Breakthrough Act and Best British Single, will be headlining on Wednesday 22 July.
Since the release of his second album, Demonstration, he has had two top 10 singles in the UK charts and he recently became an ambassador for MTV’s Staying Alive Foundation, joining their global fight against HIV.
He’ll be joined at the event of the summer by Jess Glynne, who had number ones with Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be’ and Route 94’s ‘My Love’, as well as her own ‘Hold My Hand’, which held the top spot for three weeks. Her debut solo single, Right Here, reached the top 10 and her first album is expected later this year.
MTV Crashes Plymouth returns this summer and will once again take place on the world famous Plymouth Hoe.
The spectacular live music event, which has been extended to two nights in 2015, is organised by MTV in collaboration with Plymouth City Council, will take place on Plymouth Hoe across two balmy summer nights on Wednesday 22 July and Thursday 23 July.
Both events will feature a number of headline music acts, which will be announced in the coming weeks. The second day of Crashes will be just as impressive as the first – think incredible club-like energy, like we saw during Example’s performance last year, but on an even bigger scale!
